Why Wine at a Coffee Shop?
The dual-concept model isn't new, but it's rare to see it done with intention. Most coffee-to-wine transitions feel forced — like two businesses sharing a lease. At Kinfolx, the transition is the whole point.
Coffee is about momentum. You grab it, you go, you build your day. Wine is about slowing down. You sit, you sip, you connect. Kinfolx was designed to hold both of those energies in the same space — because community happens at every speed.
Black Producers, Always
Our wine list is curated with one non-negotiable: we prioritize wines from Black producers and winemakers. This isn't a marketing angle. It's a commitment.
The American wine industry is overwhelmingly white. Black winemakers represent less than 1% of the industry, despite a rich history of Black contribution to viticulture. At Kinfolx, we use our shelf space as a platform. Every bottle tells a story of someone who made their way into an industry that wasn't designed for them.
What's on the List
Our list rotates seasonally, but you'll always find a range that spans from approachable everyday pours to special-occasion bottles:
By the Glass — We keep 6–8 wines available by the glass so you can explore without committing to a full bottle. Start with the Liwa Sauvignon Blanc — it's crisp, clean, and a perfect entry point.
By the Bottle — For date nights or group gatherings, our bottle list goes deeper. Ask our team for recommendations based on what you're in the mood for.
Beer & Beyond — We also carry a small selection of craft beer, including local Oakland favorites like Del Cielo draft.
