An M&A attorney walked past an empty storefront in Uptown Oakland.

Creighton Davis saw the vacant building and thought about his dad, who used to point at people on the street and say, "That's our kinfolk."

He called his friends Nicole and Akintunde. They signed the lease. Oakland interior designer Ashley Williams filled the space with blue velvet sofas, burnt orange barrel chairs, and copper stools.

Then they opened the doors. And Oakland exhaled.

NAACP Powershift Grant recipient. Featured in Eater SF, ABC7, CBS, SF Chronicle. Four break-ins couldn't close them. A pandemic couldn't quiet them. Because Kinfolx was never just a coffee shop. It's a platform for people to share their gifts and talents with each other.

The gathering place Oakland deserves, run like it matters.

KinfolxOS is the operating layer that keeps the lights on, the wine flowing, and the community growing. So the humans can do the human part.
